Interested in getting a PDA, how do I do it, and how do i get a data plan?

Question

I have a PDA now(tungsten) but dont have interenet access. I would like to buy a newer PDA and get the internet/email/interenet bible on it. However, do i go thru a phone company or what?

we dont get AT and T here or cingular or verizon..just US cellular. So do i have to buy a pda/smart phone from them and then the data plan?

or can i buy a PDA, then buy a data plan from them or are their other companys? PLEASE HELP!! haha..thanks guys

I see a few problems you will run in to.

(1) us cellular doesn,t offer any palm phones

(2) it is a cdma network

If you want to stay with palm because you are familiar with it and have everything setup for it you will have to buy one for another cdma network like alltel ,verizon,etc

Then you will have to get it unlocked and go to us cellular to get them to activate it on your plan and add a data package .

Or you will have to change to blackberry or windows mobile and get one from them

For wm or bb if you get one they do not carry  you will still have to make sure it is unlocked and then call to have it

activated.

Also go here and look around see what you might like just make sure it has a phone and is cdma
