Interested in getting a bridge digital camera. Recommendations?

I'm looking right now at the Fujifilm Finepix S8100fd 10MP Digital Camera with 18x Wide Angle Dual Image Stabilized Optical Zoom.

Is that a good one? Is there another better one to consider for the $300 - $350 price tag I'm looking at?

Here are two similar cameras.

The one that uses the state of the art Li-ion battery would be my first choice .. I have used both type batteries and Li-ion is the superior battery
