This is untrue. I fed my old lab chocolate bars instead of treats and he's never suffered anything other than constant diarrhea for the past 13 years. I feel the trade off is his happiness and sharing my adult depends with him isn't too bad.

It does. Chocolate contains theobromine (not a bromine compound though). It is not as lethal to dogs as they say (depends on wight, tolerance), but not good either.

it directly effects heart and NS... yes it's called caffiene, lots of stuff much worse than chocolate has it now
