Interesting facts about spring?

Does anyone know any fun/interesting facts about any aspect of spring? if you have a source that would be great!

spring in Japan is celebrated with the blooming of cherry blossoms which i believe is truly unique as they see the cherry blossoms as representing them, the flowers are very beautiful and yet they are short-lived.

the Japanese too think that life is short but it's still beautiful

the flowers fall off without withering -- the Japanese suicidal tendency.. like  it's nice to die young/pretty
