Interesting place to go before/after Ohio State football game?

We don't have a parking space at OSU and don't know anyone to tailgate with. We want to get there early before the game to get a good parking space and avoid the chaos; what places in Columbus nearby Ohio stadium would be worth checking out ? Or after the game!

If you plan on drinking, nothing beats the varsity club. It's right on lane, and has a huge patio in the back. It gets crowded, but its a good time. As for parking, what always works best is parking somewhere of high street up in clintonville, and just taking the bus down. There is one running all the time on game day. They are filled with other fans, and not the wackos that usually ride the bus on saturday afternoon. Clintonville has a lot of nice little shops you can check out, while waiting for it to get closer to game time. After the game, there are plenty of resturants and bars near where you will park, like Patrick Js.
