I grew up in new york city and people say that I look different when I return to my home country of South Korea. Can the place that you grow up affect your appearence? I have noticed one of my cousins grew up in japan but he is Korean. He looks just like a japanese male.

  1. Well...food has a lot to do with it I think. Over in North America...people tend to be bigger. I'm from Southeast Asia and If I were to return there...people would consider me really buff. However, over here in North America...I would consider myself average.

  2. sunlight exposure and different chemicals in air can affect your outside appearance as well as food like that guy said ^

  3. your enviroment has a lot to do with how you look and act. we normally try to blend it , so you may buy what ever clothes everyone else is wearing. and yes eating like they do where you are can make you gain or lose weight. also, and this if funny. when i was younger i had a live in mothers helper job . there was a girl with the samr job across the street from me that was from sussex england. she spoke quickly and it high tones ,almost cockney and after hanging around with her i started to talk like her and when i went home my family couldnt understan a word i said. so yeah. you tend to pick up your suroundings.
