This is one of my favorite early to mid summer drinks

Tennessee Bride:  served in a tall glass, half filled with champaign, one shot of peach schnapps and a shot of Tennessee whisky.

sangrias are always a hit.  If you like the frozen kind, you could go with daiquiris or margaritas.  My favorite is sneaky pete.  Vodka, rum, orange juice, and fruit punch.  Let it freeze until it is icy (it will not freeze completely) and then shave it off into a glass.  It is like a alcoholic slush.

Here are a few:

Shandy / Shendy: equal parts lager and Sprite.

Gallo jug red wine mixed with Coca Cola, served on ice; it's better than it sounds.

Put a bottle of sauvignon blanc in the freezer and stir occassionally, then blend and you have a white wine slushy.

This one I invented, I call it a Lazy Sunday: Equal parts bitter lemon soda and Tennessee Whiskey (George Dickel or Jack Daniels, I prefer the former).  You can find the bitter lemon at most liquor stores.  Serve it over ice with a squeeze of lemon.

Simpler is a Lynchburg Lemonade, which is just canned lemonade and Jack.

Finally, consider an extra dry sparkling wine or a demi-sec Vouvray.

Cherry limeade.

Fill a 12 to 16 oz. glass with ice and add the following ingredients:

-2 oz. cherry vodka (Three Olives cherry vodka is a great option)

-squeeze three lime wedges into the glass

-1 oz. sweet & sour

After adding all of these, fill the rest of the glass with sprite and add a splash of grenadine.  Shake together and add a couple maraschino cherries.  Drink should be light pink in color, due to grenadine, not bright pink or red.
