Interesting ways to begin an autobiography?

I need a way to begin an autobiography I'm writing. All I can think of "hi my name is..." or state my name. can't think of anything catchy. Any eye-catching suggestions? I'm talking about, like, an introduction. That's just introducing myself in one sentence. Need to expand it into one paragraph =/

Hi, here's an idea.  The opening sentence should begin:  "At the very outset, dear reader, i would like to make it completely clear that my brother was an only child......"

It depends on which way you want to proceed. If you want to make it a comedy,think of something really embarrasing that's happened to you and jump off from there.Readers love self-depracating humor and we all have had those "why me" moments that we can identify with.One thing you should avoid at all costs is to write one of those dreary,gloom and doom,"WHAT"S THE MEANING OF LIFE" things that bore people silly,no matter what their age.Save that stuff for when you grow up and things REALLY start to suck.

How about-My parents named me Yada Yada.

The second name is after my great grandfather who I never knew.He was etc. etc.or so my parents tell me.

Where is your place in the family--1st. second etc.

You are a product of those around you,work them into the paragraph.If humour is your thing, try and work it in.
