Interim payment confusion???

im confused... if ive been offered £1900 personal injury amount, and they've sent me £540 interim payment for misellanious expenses, is this £540 deduced off the £1900 for personal injury?? or is it a seperate thing?

  1. Yes, its deducted - you will eventually receive the remainder when the claim is finally settled.


  2. You might also find that any sickness benefit has to be repaid too ..

  3. I would think that the £540 for miscellanious expenses is to reimburse you for costs resulting from injury as opposed to an award for pain and suffering and loss of income. I think it will be additional to the £1900

    The miscellanious expenses are to reimburse an injured party for costs incurred such as travel to hospitals, medications, hospital/GP evident reports etc etc
