Well, i'm moving into my first apartment in a few weeks and i do not know how i want to decorate my room. It'll be my first year in college, so i'm lookin' for something really cool and chic. Any creative and relatively inexpensive ideas?

  1. Find one large item to hang on the wall that you absolutely love and that will make a big statement.  A artsy quilt works wonderfully - easy to hang, great for sound, lots of character and personality, moves easily etc.

Pick your bedding in something that will work with the quilt/wall hanging, have something to hold and display your favorite snapshots, and everything else will fall into place.

  2. I would suggest going through magazines or design/ furniture websites for ideas to get started. I'm not sure if you're male or female, rich or poor, but I always get good ideas when I go to Ikea's website and CB2.com also.

You might not be able to do anything to the walls, if you're renting, but you could decorate with bedding, free-standing shelving, lights, and wall decorations (the kind that come off easily).

  3. a new comforter set with flowers on it.

  4. Well you'll need bed stuff. Maybe not the whole set but that depends where you're going. Target has some cool comfortors that I saw yesterday that I'd definitely get. You could get a lamp for the night stand and maybe a picture frame or two for your desk with your friends or something. Pretty much just get what you need but in colors so it'll be feminine and cool!

  5. black and white is good basic theme-- accessories can be in any colors you want--depends on your taste-- fun places to look are antique malls which have several vendors for unusual and unique items--

  6. I am not sure if you are male or female but check out this website : www.homeinteriors.com/kwonthalittle
