Heyyy. I'm a sophomore in college. Unfortunately I switched schools and they made me take a math test (after i hadnt' had math for 4 years) and i got stuck with intermediate algebra. Why does intermediate algebra have a lab? One day a week I have the class, then 2 days a week I have the lab...... is the lab a required "class" or is it on a need basis (like if i need help doing that weeks work)....

thanks :-)

  1. Likely to be a supplemental section to assist you with things you don't understand or need extra help on.  May or may not be required to attend, you can only tell for sure by asking the instructor.  However, it's likely to be some type of department policy if it's required to attend, so switching sections to another instructor may not accomplish anything.

  2. Sounds like there is a reason that you have been assigned that class. Better go -they will probably test you again.
