Can i get caller id on my land line for incoming international numbers?

  1. You could only get it if both the international phoneline and your phone company could handle that and almost none can from what i know

    I could be wrong though


  2. No it is not possible in the UK, the incoming number is never recorded by the incoming phone company.

  3. I don't think you can get anything that gives the exact number... When I get an international call it usually says 'international' on my caller display...

  4. you can only do it if you have a caller ID manager and put it into the Data-base yourself!

  5. It depends on the Caller Line Identity (CLI) capabilities of the originating and terminating network, and whether they are compatible.

    If you are on BT, CLI will work on incoming calls from some countries.  For example CLI works from Holland (+31) and most areas of the United States (+1).

    For countries not covered, it may well state something like 'International'.
