Pakistan’s disgraced, spot-fixing tainted left-arm pacer Mohammed Amir has featured in a video, produced by the Anti-corruption and Security Unit of the International Cricket Council (ICC) to educate and warn players against corruption in the game.
Amir, who was released from a children’s jail after serving half of his sentence of six months said in the video, “Prison is a bad place for everyone. Don't make the mistakes which I did. I was stupid I didn't tell anybody because I didn't have courage. If someone comes to you go straight to team management and ICC team."
The 19-year-old added, “I always knew this was cheating at cricket but I was under pressure but I accept my mistake. When I was in ICC hearing, I knew I was totally embarrassed. I wanted to tell the truth but I didn't have courage...When the police put me in handcuffs I was literally crying."
Amir, who was sentenced to prison for six month on November 03, 2011 by a London court did not mention the names of his partners in crime http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Salman-Butt-c2418, who are still serving their respective terms in English jail.
In the five minutes and twenty four seconds long video, Amir revealed that the spot-fixing fiasco had not just ruined his career but also his life and for that he regrets the moment he got entangled in the web of spot-fixing.
After his release from jail, in an exclusive interview to former English captain Michael Atherton, Amir expressed anger towards Butt, who according to him was the ringleader and had pressured Amir to take the bribes to deliberately bowl the most controversial no-balls in the history of the game during http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 in 2010.

The players were barred by the PCB from taking part in the remainder of the tournament and later an independent tribunal appointed by the ICC found the players guilty and banned Amir for five, Asif for seven and Butt for ten years from the sport.
