Germany recorded an easy and convincing 3-0 win over the 2010 World Cup runners-up, Netherlands, in an International friendly at Imtech Arena on Tuesday, November 15. Goals from Thomas Muller, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049 and Mesut Ozil sealed the game in favour of the
hosts.
The home side dominated proceedings in Hamburg right from the kick-off. They came close to taking the lead in the opening minute, but Klose’s low shot went wide of the target.

Ten minutes later, things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Klose beautifully headed the ball into the back of the net following an impressive cross from Ozil.
Die Mannschaft continued to dominate play with Klose getting two more chances in the opening half. However, he failed to convert his chances, much to the relief of the Oranje coach, Bert van Maarwijk.
The Flying Dutchmen made an impressive start after the break, but the hosts regained control as the match progressed. Die Mannschaft’s impressive attack continued to put increasing pressure on the Oranje defence that looked vulnerable throughout the match.

Klose inside thebox before tapping home from close range.
After going down 3-0, Netherlands fought bravely and tried to make a comeback. However, in absence of several regulars, they clearly lacked creativity upfront. When the referee blew the final whistle to end proceedings at Imtech Arena, the score-line read
3-0 in favour of Germany.
