International Hockey Federation re-launches its new and improved website
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has completely re-launched its new official website, but this time with a lot of improvement and refurbishment.
It is the first and the initial step of the multi-directional process, which is going to be implemented by the International Hockey Federation for the overall improvement of its website, along with the better representation of the sport of hockey. In this
regard a new database will be developed in the near future to incorporate with the social and new media more conveniently.
The re-launch of the official website of the International Hockey Federation consists of a number of new and fresh aspects, which include a complete new design, look and entirely a new format of the competitions. Along with this a user friendly format will
be there to please the fans and the followers of the sport of hockey with an additional touch of editorial content. The fans of hockey and the followers of website will also have the opportunity to share articles and content with their friends and also have
option of tweeting by using the website of the International Hockey Federation.
“Launching a new FIH website was long overdue and very high on our priority list. We are very pleased with the product we are presenting to the general public today. This is an important step forward not only for the FIH communication endeavours, but also
to help better promote the sport of hockey,” Kelly Bravo, the Chief Executive Officer of the FIH, commented on the re-launch of the website.
The most important aspect for the FIH is that the re-launch of the website was done so timely, before two of the prestigious international tournaments. The first of these two is ESB Electric FIH Champions Challenge I, which is about to commence in Dublin,
Ireland, today and the second one is Rabo Bank FIH Champions Trophy which will be played in Amsterdam, Netherlands from the next week.
“We want to continue to move forward with our website and Altius has the eye towards the future that can help the FIH present a better website to the world and enhance its overall communication,” Jenny Wiedeke, the Communication Manager of the International
Hockey Federation stated about their relations and the future planning with Altius Software.
The development and the improvement of the website were brought in with the cooperation of a Toronto-based communications company, Altius Software, which is headed by a former Canadian hockey player, Mr Hari Kant, who had also rendered his services to the
FIH as a web officer and a television commentator. Mr Kant will remain in cooperation with the FIH to ensure the delivering consistency of the website the hockey fans.
