Question:

International Internet access

I travel a lot so often have problems connecting to WiFi, like for example providers at airport HotSpots asking for ridiculous prices like 10 Euros for 30 mins etc.

Is there not some International provider who covers other countries and where during travel one can log on for reasonable prices, instead of these rip off sharks one has to deal with at the moment!

Verizon will have a solution using the Gobi chip:

  2. Sadly, no.  AT&T has their "Laptop Connect Card" but I HIGHLY doubt that will work outside of the US, as it's not their towers.  One option is to get something like an iPhone, which can connect to the internet through cell towers, and is from AT&T, so will work in many, many coutries.
