International Volleyball Federation releases Beach Volleyball Handbook – Volleyball news
The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has officially released the latest version of Beach Volleyball Handbook on its website on Thursday, March 29.
The handbook is essentially a tool designed to help the organisers of beach volleyball events.
The 2012 FIVB Beach Volleyball Handbook contains all the relevant information about the rules and regulations of the game. The FIVB has compiled almost every little detail about the technical aspects of the sport, press, marketing, and guidelines on the
competitions.
Moreover, the readers will get an insight of the most up-to-date decisions and modifications made by the International governing body of volleyball.
There is a wide range of topics about the national and international level competitions in the handbook, and it also throws light on the continental events.
The FIVB experts (authors, contributors, and compilers) have tried to sum up a whole lot of information for organisers to create the best possible experience for athletes and spectators.
The FIVB Handbook is not only aimed at providing help to the current organisers and host countries but it is designed to entertain the future hosts of FIVB events. The FIVB is hopeful that all the participating countries and organisers of the beach volleyball
events will get help from the book.
The FIVB Beach Volleyball Department Director, Angelo Squeo, further highlighted the key points of the handbook in his comments.
He stated, “The new handbook reflects the FIVB’s commitment to quality and helps provide clear aims for all organisers. This should be the first resource promoters and affiliated national volleyball federations use if they have any questions about regulations
for FIVB beach volleyball events. In keeping to the recommendations in the Handbook, national federations can put on a great spectacle for the sport.”
For now, only the online version of the handbook is available but FIVB has been working on the hardcopy version and it will soon be available. The International Volleyball Federation is always in the search of ways to help the national federations and local
organisers, in order to improve the overall quality of the competitions. The handbook will surely serve as a wonderful tool for information seekers to set up excellent field of play during FIVB tournaments.
