Are purchases in the US taxable when using an internationally-based credit card with international funds?

  1. That actual depends where you live.   If you live in the U.S. yes you are still subject to reporting the income, no matter where you make it.  It is probably the same for other countries.


  2. You mean sales-taxable?  Yes.

    By the way, if you are a US citizen that is using an offshore bank to try to evade taxes, and then use a bank-issued credit card to bring those funds back into the US- the IRS caught onto that scheme a number of years back, and have regularly been getting credit card records frm the issuing banks.  Expect to get caught.
