International cricket remains the priority for Michael Clarke – Cricket News Update
The Australian captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, has made it clear that his priority will always remain international cricket and he will take part in the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) just because there is not needed for national duty in the Australian
winters this year.
Clarke signed a lucrative contract with the Pune Warriors for the upcoming season of the IPL. The right-handed middle-order batsman has replaced http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yuvraj-Singh-c98364 in the squad, as the hard-hitting left-hander is undergoing cancer treatment in America.
The fifth season of the IPL gets underway from April 4, 2012, and this will be the first time Clarke will participate. Prior to his recent contract, Clarke had taken a principle stance against playing in the IPL, as he believed that international cricket
was bigger than league cricket, and considers it to be a higher stage.
The Aussie captain has expressed once again that he feels honoured to represent his country and Australia will always come first for him. The right-handed batsman has claimed that he can sacrifice anything to make sure that he is at the top of his game while
playing for Australia. However, due to a dearth of cricket he will play this year in the IPL.

There is a school of thought in cricket, which believes that franchise cricket is bad for the sport, and it is quickly changing the priorities of high-profile cricketers, who rather play for money than country.
