  1. ask to the fly compagnie ,you will have more to pay but that will be ok

  2. im from usa and live in melbourne, aus now. i was air hostess. i guarantee u that u anyone over 15 on int'l flight is allowed to and fine to fly on their own!  if he is scared or not flown much, mention to the airlines when HE checks in that he is flying on his own, only 16 and may need help. but if u want someone to help him officially, then u have to pay a fee that is about $75. it's called an unaccompanied minor fee, which basically tells the airline that hey, this is a kid who doesnt travel and needs help.  they will make sure he is handed off from gate agent to flight attendants back to gate agents on arrival to dESIGNATED arrival party shows ID and signs off on his arrival!
