International high school service summer trip?

Question

I am a high school junior and I have been looking at programs for this summer. I have found a few cultural/ volunteer trips abroad but there are SO many and I don't know what to do. I was interested in programs that were environmental / wilderness volunteer programs. I alos saw a program that was in Belize that was wilderness and also volunteering in the health care system there. I was very interested in one like that. Has anyone gone on any international volunteer summer trips and could tell me about them? Does anyone have reccomendations??

since u like the belize one - go for it.  its gonna be fun.  u will learn lots of things and it will enrich your life experiences and knowledge.  

take lots of mozzy repellent, wear thick canvas shoes, long sleeves, hat, cap,
