I think that the prize money is actually pretty substantial compared to what professional pool players were making as recently as 2 years ago.  Bear in mind that unlike professional poker, where many times the players only take home a tiny fraction of the value of all their chips, IPT players actually take home the lion's share of their winnings.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.
