I'm in Canada and I want to mail a letter overseas. Do I HAVE to buy international stamps or can I just stick a bunch of canadian postage stamps on?

  1. Everything I've ever shipped overseas has been with regular stamps and not internetional. Then again, I'm in the US.

You may want to call your local PO or go to their website.

  2. Hi, you have to use Canadian postage stamps. The rate will just be more than that to send an envelope within Canada.  A light envelope (under 30 grams) will cost $1.60, one between 30 and 50 grams will cost $2.30 plus tax. You may need to have your envelope weighed at the post office.
