Should you and is it necesary to register a culturally handed down generation after generation thing? I mean, should someone register the cork hat or ugg boot or lamington as Australian before someone else does it? Because the Koreans actually registered a Chinese cultural thing! Everyone is stealling from China! They registered this food that was invented to be thrown into the river for the fish to eat so they won't eat the body of this patriotic person who suicided after the emporer didn't listen to him and lost this battle thing. How can it be taken back and where do you register such things?

  1. You can patent inventions and register trademarks, most places have official offices where this can be done. There is also an international register of important heritage items, which are put on the register by governments.

However, there IS a lot of faking going on.

Surprisingly, a lot of the fakes are made in China!
