My wife is German and I am American. She has finished school here in Germany and is finishing her German three year education programm in July.

Now my question is, will she be allowed to work in the US if she is a international student?

  1. As an international student in the U.S. she would only be permitted to work 20 hours per week during semesters and 40 hours per week during the holidays and all of this work must be carried out on-campus.

Now you say that you are married? Why don't you petition her for a green card by filing Form I-130. This way her tuition would be cheaper and she would be permitted to work as many hours as she wanted and be permitted to work, where she wanted.
