Paolo Maldini started his youth career with Milan in 1978 then after spending seven years in their youth academy he made it into their first team squad in 1985.

He took retirement from professional football in 2009 at the age of forty one, he has also been a part of the Italian national team from 1986 to 2002 making his way from the under twenty two to the first team squad. In total he has made a hundred and twenty

Leonardo wants to bring Maldini over to Internazionale as a Coach’s assistant and sit besides him on the bench.
