Hi, Please don't ask as I have no time to explain, but I need, or "we" need a VERY good upload speeds in the U.K.

And I also know ISP's don't offer services like so (if they do, please tell me the ISP's name) The most you can get from the UK.s ISP's (Bethere.co.uk) is a 2MB Upload speed.

If you check "http://www22.verizon.com/content/consum... the "faster plus" package in the U.S.A you can receive a 20MB upload speeds for $50 a month. Which works out to be £30 or so.

So the question I'm asking here is, is there any services out there that offer access to the internet backbone, and receive a connection to your home line like in the U.S.A?! We're looking for around 15MB to 25MB upload speeds to our office.

Thank you. Much appricated.

  1. You need a T3 line to your office (upto 45mbps) and that requires laying down fiber from a data provider to your office. You have to live in a locale that a provider isn't a OCS-3 itself, to run a line.

That's serious money, as a T3 is enough bandwidth (upto 30 T-1 lines @ 1500mbps up and down), and then you're paying for 95 percentile bandwidth -- everything going in and out, too.

The home variety is limited to what bandwidth is available, and you don't get the full 20MB upload speed (plus it's a very limited market -- large cities).

Only solution for the full boat is to lay down your own cable, and you're looking at around $3,000/mon for the tap (with a set pro-rated bandwidth block), and having the luck of living in a large city with a data provider with enough bandwidth to offer it.

It's why not many folks have it, and why everyone is waiting for ISPs to up their upload caps. If you're a datacenter; or a large company; or a college, then you can afford full duplex bandwidth. Otherwise, large data transfers will still mean mailing DVDs, or for serious data, tape.
