Internet Connection Help?

Ok, i have a computer in my bedroom with a modem with high speed internet. i have another computer in my living room however i dont know how to get it connected to the internet. I not that good with technology but i heard that you need a router or something. Even if i did have a router, how can the internet connection go to my living room..please help...(please dont tell me wireless connections because my living room in really faw away from my bedroom)....

If you were to get a router, you could hardwire the computer in your living room to the router.

If you were to try going wireless, you could purchase a network card or a wireless adapter that can plug into a USB port so you can access the Internet without having to mess with wires and such.

Even though your computer's in a different room than the router would be in, it may still pick up the wireless signal.

Well, if you do not want us to tell you about wireless connections and range extenders, indoor antennas to extend the range of the connection - then run Ethernet cable from your bedroom to the living room. Perhaps you can run it down the basement.
