Internet Explorer has stopped working?

Question

Whenever I try to run or download anything from the internet, a message pops up saying that the "Internet Explorer has stopped working" and it restarts every single time. I had a similar problem before this. My computer would download/run something from the internet but after it was done, it wouldn't show up on my computer. I tried downloading it somewhere else like my desktop but still nothing. So I had to reboot the system and then for a few weeks it's fine and then this happens.

Can anyone point out what is wrong with my computer???

uninstall and reinstall, if that fails switch to firefox http://imperviouscomputer.com

start internet explorer, click tools, internet options,click advance, click reset , this process will restore the IE to its Original Default settings
