Internet Explorer trouble with pictures???

Question

When I open Internet Explorer the pictures don't show up

A red square a green circle and a blue triangle come up and I already went to internet options and clicked show pictures but when I close the internet it goes back to the shapes!!!

What else should I try????

If you dont mind using a different internet browser I would use firefox.
