Internet Services?

Question

I have been trying to find a faster Internet service for Mattoon, Wisconsin.. I have dial up now but it is sooo slow... So I was wondering if anyone can help me?????

Call your local cable and phone services...if nothing faster is there now - most Companies have projection time's ...(when better services WILL be available.)

Is DSL or cable internet access available in your area?  If not, find out whether satellite internet service might be an option.  

If cost does not matter, you could subscribe to a T1 line, but that would probably be several hundred dollars per month.  But if you're an entrepreneur at heart, you could then become the local high-speed internet service provider off your T1 line, and with ten to fifteen high-speed subscribers at $40 per month, you could get back enough money to pay for your T1 line and maybe turn a profit.  If cost does matter, line up the equipment to distribute the high-speed signal and the subscribers first, get deposits or month-in-advance payments, arrange for automatic monthly payments to be charged to their bank accounts or checking accounts and credited to your account, and suddenly, you've got the money to do it.

if you can't afford cable then use dsl. there is sbc whic hisn't bad. but i used it for qhite awhile befor going to cable not sure what you have there. but dsl is ok i mean its not as slow and dial up. taek care.

You can look up for local services in your area at dslreports.com or search in google for "**** broadband internet service" (replace "****" with your town).

Verison DSL advertises a deal for $25 per month but if it is not offered in your area then I am sure there are other companies who offer DSL. You can also look into cable internet which is usually more expensive but result in much faster connection the DSL. I personally don't like satelite internet service but it is also an option, although I think it is the more expensive solution.

Another option is to look for wireless internet offer from keyon.com if they provide in your area then it is faster then DSL and at the same price.
