Like the title says. Instead, when I click on a video, it brings up a pop-up to download the video, saying "the file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It is either corrupted or has an incorrect file type".

I had this problem before, after downloading the VLC player, I deleted it and it has worked fine since until now...for no apparent reason.

  1. Windows Media Player need codec for playing some kind of files download VLC player it is best for AVI, MPEG, Or some other format you can play video there its Not the problem of Video, WMP11, Windows Vista,

  2. Nearly all players need extra codecs to play certain file types.

When you install Gomplayer, you do not need to do that.

Gomplayer has its own codecs and therefore plays anything you want.
