Internet cable help!!!

Question

Ok, so heres the deal, I play on a mac computer and for some reason whenever i try to connect hardwired to my computer (cable) it says that my internet/ethernet cable is unplugged.. it used to work but now it says this, my wireless internet still works tho.. how do i fix it

2,fix properly in the right port "check both end from modem side and also your Nic card port!!!
