Internet connection is screwy?

Could this be because someone else in the house on another computer is downloading a large game?

If so, is there anything I can do, except ask her to download that sometime that others aren't trying to work?

Fraid so. Depending on how many of you in the house, you might want to suggest some form of agreement that when people are working between such and such hours, nobody downloads anything big.

If it's that big download do it during the night when every one else has gone to bed. If they are reasonable they will see sense.

If not and they are that selfish, not a lot you can do about it, except cut their monitor cable in half or cut the plug off their power supply!
