Internet connection sharing - how to?

I just asked this question:

My router is included internally in the pc, hp pavilian slimline, there is an antenna in the back.

I have cable internet which is what I'm using now.

I'm trying to create a wireless network..when I set up a 'wireless router or access point' it says I do not have the hardware. When I create a 'wireless ad hoc' I can see the wireless network, but my iphone will not connect to it (for now the only thing that will be using the network)

I just received this answer:

You don't actually have a router, you have a wireless adapter. You're not going to set up a wireless network that way.

It's possible to set up internet connection sharing... use the help function.

However, I think your best bet is to get a wireless router

----I tried the help function and didnt get much help.

I'm on yahoo messenger right now 'dleedd' please message me and help me out?!!?

  1. you can make an ad hoc network (just between two device)

to create a wireless network you need an access point device

so make an ad hoc connection between you'r pc and iphone

next go to the network connection and select the properties for the cable internet connection and check the internet share connetion from the advance option
