Internet connection speeds?

Question

when I'm torrenting a file or downloading a program on the internet, my speeds only go up to 150 kb/s (160 kb/s on sites)

but when i ran a speed test at dslreports.com it said that my download speed is 1259 kb/s and my upload is 294 kb/s.

Does this mean that SBC is cheating on me?

well, how do I actually get my speeds that high? is the results accurate?

Torrents will never be as high as your max downlaod speed as it is based of other peoples internet speed too, and that speed cna be shared betwwen many hundreds of people.
