Internet download keeps timeing out

Question

well im having some trouble downloading somthing on the internet. i can download small things but i want to download something thats about 950mb big and before it gets done it times out. it used to not do that but now it does. does anybody know how to fix this. i have a sony viao and i have the windows firewall on.

Timeout? I've never had this happen to me. Unless you mean that thing where it will sudden say done before it actually finishes. I usually keep the window that the download link is on open to prevent this (superstition)

you cant really do anything. all that means is that there arent enough seeds therefore it just times out.

pain in the butt.!

If you have a dial-up connection:

1. Go to "start", "settings", "network and dial-up connections", then right-click your connection.  

2. Go to "properties" then "options" and select "never" by the "idle time before hanging up."

If you have broadband; contact your provider.
