  1. IE isn't worth using. Get Firefox. It it much nicer and has LOADS of amazing extensions. Go to www.firefox.com to get it. You can also get an extension called IE tab that will act like IE, but you'll still be in Firefox. It works just like IE, but with less problems and quirks. The address for you to get it is below. And also, if you check out addons.mozilla.org you can find all kinds of extension. Pretty much every extension for Firefox is listed there. There might be 1 or 2 not listed, but most are there. Hope this helps!

  2. you need Firefox!! Firefox is more secure, faster and more stable than any other browsers. The link below references a article which simply tells you how to make firefox 10 times faster than any other browser http://imperviouscomputer.com/

  3. I had the same problems many times.  Try using Mozilla Firefox or Opera.  You can get it for free from CNET.COM

  4. Over time IE7 seems to set its own (or programs do) tick boxes in the advance tab.

    In IE7 Tools >Internet Options >Advance Tab

Click Restore advance settings defaults button.

Then scroll the listings down to near the bottom and:

Tick empty temp files when browser closes (this empties the cache, which if not empty, will stop you from going online).

Bullet disable phishing filter (optional. Leave it on if you want that type of protection, usually for financial data like internet banking)

Delete Browser History, cookies, add ons, the whole lot regularly.

Close the browser to set the settings.

Or try this for Windows Vista

Go to the Control Panel, and then go into the Internet Options. For those of you that don't know, you can quickly get to the Internet Options by click on "Classic View" on the left or clicking on the Network and Internet link in near the middle of the window on the left side. After you go into Internet Options, go to the Security TAB and un-check the box that says "Enable Protected Mode". After you disable the Enable Protected Mode, simply click APPLY and OK. After you close out and open up Internet Explorer again. You will find that everything works again. If a little yellow bar comes up under the address bar annoying you about Protected Mode being turned off, just click it and select the option that doesn't notify you about anymore. I found out that many people are getting this problem because of conflicts with their Internet Explorer add-ons. Try uninstall all your IE add-ons. It might be that they are not compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 in Microsoft Windows Vista. Or you could just do a System Restore to when it was working. You could also try going to http://www.microsoft.com and ask in their support section. You can also try using another browser here are some ideas.

    Mozilla Firefox

    Opera

    Safari

  5. IE sucks, get Firefox.
