can you get in troubel for online gambeling when the site you use is located in another country. If i were to win any large amount of money would definitely declare it on my taxes.

That's what most people think and that is what the US government WANTS people to think, but it is not illegal! There is still no federal law that makes online gambling illegal for the player. It is currently illegal for US based banks to process transactions for illegal online gambling, but THERE IS NO DEFINITION OF ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMBLING!! This is simply a poorly thought out scheme to scare the US banks into becoming a law enforcement entity for a law that does not exist!

It is illegal to operate an online gambling site from within the United States and to accept wagers from Americans. That is what those few high profile arrests have been associated with, accepting wagers from Americans while their business was based in the USA.

I project that there will NEVER be an arrest made of any online gambling player...ever. Even when you see back alley bookie operations busted you always hear of law enforcement obtaining the personal information of every player that has placed a wager through them, but 'law enforcement officials have announced that no bettors will be prosecuted..." It's always the same story, charge those running the gambling ring...not the players! If not, then Wayne Gretzky would be in jail right now! lol

Your problem is transferring funds for gaming from your bank if you use another form of payment you should be alright.
