Internet in rural area around Galway?

Has anyone had difficulty finding internet access in the rural areas around Galway? What spots have you found?

  1. I live about 45miles from Galway in a small parish and we have excellent broadband service because we are only 5 miles from the nearest town! However a village down the road from us has no broadband service which they are always getting the p**s taken out of them for!!

    lol!!

    (It's a rivalry thing! Nothing major just friendly!!)


  2. I can't get internet access where i live  cnoc a dtua near , casla,co.galway  you would think that if you have a landline you could get access ..

  4. Rural areas in Ireland in general are poorly served, but whatever is available is wireless access, or if you have the cash available, there is always satellite access.

  5. i found it hard to get broadband, but i bought a vodafone broadband modem, it's ok in my area but i tried out a O2 broadband which was fantastic.

    I also know that currofin that broadband internet access and obviously galway city

  6. I know it's a real pain sometimes. Sometimes it'll cut off when you're right in the middle of a conversation and it'll be like dam!
