Internet is the cause of moral decay in our society?

No, greed and selfishness is the cause of moral decay. The only way the internet is involved is that it is a quick way for people to poison the majority with the illussions that money can buy happiness, display all the evils of the world, and give propaganda for the many material things we are brainwashed to believe we need, which in turn only heightens our sense of our need for money. Same as t.v and radio. Everyone in America is expected to own a computer these days. I can't remember how many times my children came home with homework assignments that required a computer with internet access. I suggest you look up the pros of t.v. and the mentality of those who felt it was a source of moral decay, because the views expressed are the same. One thing it does is allows the majority to be exposed to the perversions in this world in a short period of time, but this could also be considered a benefit, as it allows millions of people to discover what is happening in the world in an instant. ;-)

if there is a cause for moral decay, it is within individuals and what each individual chooses to do, or not do.

people have been blaming things for moral decay almost throughout time.  In the 1950s, it was comic books.

Earlier, people blamed it on cards, or alcohol.

Internet has done more to isolate people while giving them the illusion that they are more connected. Communities are not as strong as they used to be. The internet is not the only factor of course but it does play a role. The internet with information right there makes people lazier because they are less inclined to go to the library and speak to someone. I think the internet has created more hermits. Have you ever seen the movie, the Net with Sandra Bullock?

i don't think so........the media as a whole is partially to blame, we concentrate more on the individual rather than a society today. Freedom should be accompanied by responsibility. unfortunately it has brought about moral decay in the society.

But then each of us has a Choice.......what empowers you could also destroy you ..........
