is there a book or a place where i can learn everything about how search engines work, keywords, tags, and anything related? i need to become an expert in website managing somehow in the shortest amount of time >__<

Fisrt off, I must mention two points: SEO is something that you should learn and implement. There are lots of resources which may teach you a lot of things, but if you don´t take action, you won´t succeed! Also, bear in mind that SEO is a long-term marketing effort. It is not something that you act today and will see the results by tomorrow! It takes time!

I believe idea is to promote the website on search results. Most of the search engines work on link based algorithms, and hence rank websites with more incoming links within the group of pages that contain the keyword, higher. You can check out Search Engine Optimization, and Search Engine Marketing on wikipedia, and follow links for practices followed, though innovation will produce remarkable results.
