  1. there is a big different between " bit"  and "byte"

did i spell it right ?? whatever

the speed 349kb  -------------------> mean kilo "bit" not" byte"

the 33kb -------> mean kilo "bytes"

    see the different??

and to know your speed you need to make this math :

"your connection speed by bit" / 8 = your connection speed with bytes

now your connection :   349/8= 43 kilo bytes

    got that ?

like if we say dsl 256kb/s it means : 256/8=32 kilo bytes

    and 512 ((we added 256+ 256 = 512 ))  512 / 8 = 64

  2. You download speed will not always be directly related to the speed shown in a speed test. This is because it depends on many things, such as the max speed the server you are downloading from will allow, where it is located in relation to where you are, how busy that server is, and the amount of traffic your ISP is dealing with at the time.

Also note that many ISPs are starting to set limits on the downloading of large files. 30-40kb/s seems to be a popular limit for most of them.
