what is the best free securtiy program i can get for my computer and i mean always free not for like a month?

The best free program that I can recommend is Avast.  It works great and is even better than most programs that cost money.  There is a Pro version that you can buy, but the free version is great.  You do have to re register a new key every year or so, but it is totally free.

Please listen, you need to get McAfee, and not AVG or Avast. It costs $40 USD at stores but here's a link to get a genuine copy for free. All you have to do is sign up for a simple screen name for AOL to download it. McAfee is way better than AVG, Avast, and Spybot. McAfee is an all-in-one suite, not just an antivirus like AVG or Avast. McAfee also includes a firewall. The license will work for one year and from there, you can renew it for free for another full year more of protection. I've had it for 3 years and never got one virus, the program also doesn't slow down the computer like some others.

Depends on your internet service. I have Comcast High Speed, that comes with McAfee Secrity Suite, that also come with free America On Line, if you have DSL or Cable (broadband) Internet. There is also CA Yahoo Security, for broadband. For any type, there's AVG-Anti-Virus-Free
