i have verizon at 20mpb and 5 upload is this faster then other providers?

  1. If your referring to fios (fiber) connection then yes that a good speed.  You shouldn't have any problems with downloads or uploads.  The biggest issues will be on the other end that providing the service because they may limit how fast you go.
