Internet speed or download speed?

i got a 300kbps internet connection. wat does 300kbps indicate? the download speed is just 15-20 kbps

The connection speed is just data transfer, there's a lot of info sent and received you don't really know about, so downloads will be I thin 1/8th the speed? I can't be sure.

Whatever internet speed you sign-up for you should always divide that number by 8 because there are 8 bytes in a kilobyte and that should give you a good indication of what you should achieve

Your kbps is 300, but wherever you are downloading from either has a lower connection speed, or has a busy server (multiple downloads/uploads happening at once)
