Internet stopped working on main computer?

Question

My internet worked fine before i left on vacation. When i came back the internet was not working . It works on the wireless laptop. I have restarted the computer a few times and i have checked the cables. i have also tried to repair it. its only on the main line. i have also recently installed photoshop 7.0. i did that a few days before i left and the internet worked fine. any ideas?

jokes apart, check from ur ISP if your connection is ON from their side

dsl or cable, there will be a reset button on your broadband router (your wireless router) press this button in for 1 minute it will reset to factory settings then your main should work. this button is very small youll need to use a pen tip or something like that.

Could you let me know the model and operating system? There could be a virus stopping access or the ip address id not being assigned. One way to check this is by going to: Start>run>cmd>(Type in "ipconfig").

If you get numbers like 192.168.1.23 or etc your connected..,

Also what is the failed repair saying?
