Internet wont connect!?

Question

it says there is no dial tone,

how do u fix this??

check your password and login are input correctly, also the guy below me doesn't no that sometimes your internet company has a password for you to connect to the internet and sometimes it disappeared, it happened to me, but whatevr.

Find the phone that isn't hung up. If there's not one, look behind your hard drive and make sure you're still plugged into the phone line. Follow that line back to the wall and make sure all the connections are correct (wall jack to computer or router, if you have one, router to computer modem(I, or in), computer modem(O, or out) to phone.) If that doesn't work, turn off everything in the house, then shut off the main circuit breaker for a minute, and then restart it. If that doesn't work, go to your phone box outside if you can find it and see if there are any unconnected lines, but don't touch them. If there are, contact your phone company and have them come fix it. If there are no unconnected lines, call your phone company AND you internet provider. They need to come out and fix the problem.

Oh, and if your phoneline that your computer is jacked into is working, you may have a bad modem or router.

Oh, and ignore Tony above. An incorrect password/login would result in an incorrect password/login notice screen. It would tell you if that was the problem. It would not say no dial tone if that was the case.
