Interning at the american embassy in rome???? HELP please =]?

hiiii im trying to intern with the american embassy in rome for summer next year. it will be the summer before my senior year and ill be 17. im fluent in italian and i already have family members i can stay with... but do i need to be qualified in any other way?? ill do anythingggg to get the job

AND if anyones done that or something like that let me know how it was!

u hv to apply in washington dc.  they will make assessment / eligibility etc.

usually internship r reserved for americans residing within rome itself or children of american diplomats/companies. so do u hv such connexions?
