This is my personal glasses prescription. What does it mean?

  1. It means you need no distance correction for your right eye, your left eye needs  a small bit of astigmatism correction and that you are presbyopic. In easier terms you need glasses to help you in up close tasks.


  2. your prescription tells me that your main problem is seeing things up close. and in your right eye you have 20/20 vision for distance. that means there is no correction needed for your right eye.  and for your left you need and a little astigmatism correction.  your Rx also tells me that you are presbyopic.  that means you are close or over 40 and you are losing your ability to accommodate to see things up close.  that's why you need the +2.00 add .  so when you go to get your glasses you will have three options

    1. two pairs of glasses one for reading and one for distance

    2. bifocals

    3. progressives (bifocals with no visible line)
